Blended Learning

Throughout my ID/LXD career. the focus of my work has been on creating blended programs

The approach that I have adopted is influenced by transmedia storytelling.

Transmedia indicates that integral elements of a story are systematically dispersed across multiple delivery channels to create a unified and coordinated entertainment experience.

The most successful training systems are built using the same approach. The high-level architecture consists of multiple learning opportunities and/or directives dispersed through leveraging (or creating) the organizational-wide learning and communication technology stack to create comprehensive and clear training paths for professional skill building and people development.

From there, designing and delivering the training in the most effective (and fun!) format is used to strategically  alleviate the forgetting curve, encourage reflection, and cultivate a peer-to-peer learning culture within an organization

Feel free to reach out to discuss the successful programs I have developed with companies such as:

  • Stone Brewing
  • A major energy drink (requested anonymity)
  • hCentive
  • The Chopra Center
  • Kripalu Yoga and Retreat Center.

Content Analysis

Along with the needs and gap analysis, I specialize in the often unmentioned and/or overlooked content analysis that is critical to creating streamlined learning paths as well as identify how to translate the content into engaging and interactive formats such as scenario-based, immersive and social (peer-to-peer) learning.

Additionally, just like the deconstructed Pho above this step empowers mixing and matching individual learning elements in focussed learning paths.
