Discernment before dependence.

Use AI without giving away what's yours.

AI WISE is a framework that supports a mindset for collaborating with AI, one that keeps your thinking, judgment, and voice at the center of every exchange.

It isn't just about the perfect prompt. It's a way to stay a more capable human alongside the tools, able to ask, question, evaluate, decide, and contribute.

The central question

How do I use AI without giving away what's mine?

AI is already woven into how we write, plan, search, create, and decide. The question is no longer whether we'll use it. It's how we choose to participate.

Some step back, overwhelmed by the pace. Some move fast and accept the first answer. AI WISE offers a third path: engage with intention, and keep the thinking, judgment, and responsibility that still belong to you.

Production minded prompting engineers the perfect instruction and lets the machine generate. Conversational prompting is different: you think with AI in a real exchange, and the judgment, voice, and responsibility stay yours.

Framework & mindset

A human-centered way to work with AI.

AI WISE is a framework that supports a mindset for collaborating with AI. Four connected moves turn a quick request into a deliberate exchange, and leave you more able than you came.

Pause before engaging

Weigh

Before opening an AI tool, make your own thinking visible, noticing what you know, what you assume, and whether AI is even the right tool.

  • What am I trying to understand, create, decide, or improve?
  • What context does AI actually need, and what stays mine?
  • Is AI even the right tool for this?

Engage intentionally

Interact

Useful work rarely ends with the first response. Tend the exchange on purpose instead of accepting what arrives.

  • Add context; ask for alternatives and the reasoning behind them.
  • Challenge an assumption; request a missing perspective.
  • Ask what needs verification, and redirect when it drifts.

Integrate critically

Synthesize

An AI response is material to work with, not the final destination. Bring it into your own knowledge and judgment.

  • What's useful, and what's questionable?
  • What needs verification, and what's missing?
  • What should change, and what stays human-owned?

Grow through application

Evolve

The value of an exchange shouldn't stay trapped inside the chat. Carry it forward into how you think and work.

  • What do I understand differently now?
  • What can I now do more independently?
  • What boundary will I carry forward?
A boundary to take with you: “I'm comfortable using AI to ____, but I'll keep ____ human-led, because ____.”

Workshops & webinars

Practical sessions for thoughtful AI use.

AI WISE comes to life in two ways. The in-person workshop builds the complete four-part practice. The live online webinar focuses on the two moves that carry the most weight up front: Weigh and Interact.

In-person workshop

Cultivating Curiosity with AI

A welcoming, hands-on session for using AI with confidence, curiosity, and discernment.

Designed for libraries and community spaces, this in-person workshop builds the complete four-part practice, Weigh, Interact, Synthesize, and Evolve, so adults and older teens can treat AI as a collaborator while the thinking, judgment, and responsibility stay theirs.

Live online webinar

Using AI Without Giving Away Your Thinking

A focused session on the two moves that matter most in everyday use: Weigh and Interact.

It concentrates on the front end of the practice: how you read a situation before you ask (Weigh), and how you steer the exchange instead of taking the first answer (Interact). Built for professionals who want to move quickly with AI and still own their reasoning, voice, and credit. No experience needed, and everyone is welcome.

Inside the sessions

  • A real, low-risk question to work through together.
  • A look at what's quietly hidden inside how we ask.
  • A live, guided AI exchange to learn from.
  • Practice steering, challenging, and verifying.
  • A personal boundary for your own AI use.

What you take away

  • A working grasp of the practice you can use right away.
  • A personal example of how your process changed.
  • A clearer sense of what stays human-owned.
  • A responsible-use checklist.
  • More confidence to ask, evaluate, decide, and participate.

Accessibility and participation

No paid AI account is required. Take part on your own device, pair with someone nearby, work privately, or simply observe. You're never asked to share personal information or a private topic, and observing is always welcome.

About AI WISE

Inquiry-driven. Human-centered. Built for thoughtful participation.

AI WISE is an inquiry-driven framework for working with AI thoughtfully. It's grounded in a simple belief: AI is at its best when it strengthens human capability rather than replacing human judgment.

AI can help us look closer, think differently, and explore possibilities. The human still brings the purpose, context, values, responsibility, and final interpretation.

AI WISE helps people stay active in that process.

Her background spans instructional design, digital literacy, project-based learning, storytelling, and technology adoption.

AI WISE grew out of sustained, hands-on collaboration with emerging AI tools, and the realization that meaningful use depends on a person's ability to question, assess, revise, challenge, integrate, and reflect.

Approached with curiosity and discernment, working with AI becomes a mirror for how we think, what we value, what we notice, and what we still need to understand more clearly.

Simple tools for thoughtful collaboration.

The point of using AI isn't to let a machine think for you. It's to strengthen your own insight, judgment, creativity, and capacity to act.
